GEM’s  tips will guide family care partners and artists assisting people living with Alzheimer’s or related dementias to benefit from creative activities like art and music. Music and art boost mood, and facilitates a sense of accomplishment and purpose while encouraging participants to socialize and express themselves.

GEM’s art program is embedded in a holistic approach to engaging people with memory challenges in meaningful activities that promote creativity as well as socialization and cognitive skills.  Equal attention is paid to ensuring participants enjoy the process of creating art as well as their product.
