The Power of Art…

Local artists give their time and talent to bring our GEM caregivers and care receivers a variety of arts and crafts. Each specially designed session ends with Music by Angelo Sonnesso.

The Power of Art is a Dare Arts Council program that offers access to arts programming and education to groups with special needs.

GEMz is a virtual program that began during the pandemic, meeting on the third Friday of the month for about 75 minutes per session.

After logging on, introductions are made followed by facilitated activities. Some examples are story-telling, recognizing a birthday, or showcasing a clip from a radio show, encouraging participation by all.
