This program will highlight efficacy of the I’m Still Here® approach to dementia care. This evidence-based model utilizes non-pharmacologic treatment modalities – communication techniques, environmental adaptations, and meaningful activities – as a basis for providing an
unparalleled quality of life for persons living with dementia. Also
Afternoon presentations by:
Brian LeBlanc and Maureen Rulison will speak on “Living With Dementia,” Dr. Hamid Okhravi and Dr. Bahar Niknejad on “Faces of Dementia and Therapeutic Options.”

Outer Banks Caregivers’ Day Out
Begins March 21 (will meet each Monday from 10:00am to 1:00pm
at the Parks and Recreation Center, Kill Devil Hills
This new program is designed to allow the caregiver to have three hours when their loved one is cared for by trained volunteers in a safe place where they will have games, exercise, music, snacks and meet new friends.
